Associate Consultant
Role overview

We are looking for a talented and experienced junior Consultant located in the USA (NYC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the USA and global team with the effective marketing of the company as well as assisting various consultants on different client projects. The role will be ideal for a digitally savvy and confident professional, who is a strategic thinker and excited to play a key role as part of a global collaborative team.
This role would be ideal for an experienced Client Account Manager, passionate about the industry and looking for a step up in their responsibilities; or a junior consultant looking for their next challenge within a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for driving insight around consumer/customer understanding and behaviour, garnering actionable insights for our clients and their needs. You will need to work within our established processes and gather insight to drive that process, usually with a Lead Consultant and other support members of staff. You will lead on our purpose, build our business capabilities, and transform the lives of marketeers through client projects covering all areas of our services (marketing operations, marketing skills & capabilities, marketing technology and agency management).
Responsibilities
- Driving offline and online quantitative and qualitive research techniques; managing and briefing specialist consultants, driving insight and interpreting results.
- Deliver findings and insights in a compelling, yet digestible manner to ensure our clients are clear of our recommendations. This would include report and presentation writing.
- Analysing raw data/facts and delivering them with clear, exciting client insights that have proven business applications.
- Assisting Flock consultants on client projects with things such as (but not limited to) workshop preparation & logistics, research, presentation writing, client interviews, information gathering, note taking, attending workshops, proofreading, and also conduct research of prospective clients, competitors, industries, and markets.
- Help promote Flock by actively participating in the creation and production of engaging sales and marketing literature and collateral. This includes but is not limited to blog writing, social media, research, events, website development, brand and design, content creation and promotional literature.
- Assist in updating and maintaining the Flock databases, when necessary, design and produce content for Flock’s email campaigns.
- To make a positive contribution to the brand, business, and culture of Flock through an effective partnership with the Flock team
- To support the development of valuable products and services

- The successful candidate will be or have been in a role at a well-known brand-led organisation or an experienced role in a leading agency. The candidate may have held, or holds, a similar position with an agency or consultancy.
- At least 6+ years marketing experience from within a fast-paced marketing environment – either agency, consultancy or advertiser
- Degree or equivalent practical experience
- Strong reporting and analytics skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Proactive and accountable self-starter
- Proficient with Microsoft suite (Copilot working knowledge desirable)
- Strong interest and capability in technology, web and software applications
- Ability to communicate confidently and clearly and demonstrate strong listening skills • Excellent strategic thinker • Experience in marketing and communications strategy
- Proficient in data analytics and able to translate insights into actionable client frameworks and recommendations
- Excellent team player with a positive, fun and can-do attitude
